China to consider an increase of personal income tax base

| China is considering an increase in the pre-tax
deduction items of personal income tax in the next few years, said Jin Renqing, director
of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT) recently. That means the
personal income tax base will be raised.
The news about the proposed adjustment of the personal income tax system has
aroused general concerns. One of the focuses is how to properly increase tax revenue and
regulate the income gap through reforming the personal income tax system |
